Rentals: February 4, February 11, February 18, 19 & 20 – remember the rentals start 7 PM the night before and end noon the date after.

February 17, 2017 - Pot Luck and Critter dinner

For those who already members – if you have not paid, you dues are due. Gate and door combos will be changed February 17.

NRA 4 Position Smallbore Rifle shooting will start Monday night at 6:30 pm, after Sporterifle matches. If additional information is needed call John 315-777-2606.

Pot Luck/Critter Dinner will be on February 17th. Gather by 6 pm. This is a wonderful event with many members and friends attending. The awards for Trudeau Big Buck will be presented. Invite your friends, this is open to all. Critter is not mandatory; just bring a dish to pass. Remember to make enough for everyone to enjoy.

Gun Show: please contact Walt (518 354 8699) if you are interested in assisting with this event. Set up on Friday afternoon. Saturday and Sunday on the entry table and 50/50 raffle. Don’t need to be here all day.

Colby Classic: Thank you to Dustin Martin for assuming the chair. He is looking for support to make this a successful year. Need people to ask for door prizes. Please contact him if you can help. 518-207-7283

Remember the letter concerning getting $5.00 off your dues…… the above events are a great way to earn those credits!

Pistol Permit Renewals: As per the Safe Act all persons holding a pistol permit must re-certify. Pistol/Revolver License Recertifications are currently only required for those permits originally issued before January 15, 2013. If your permit was issued before January 15, 2013, the deadline to submit your recertification is January 31, 2018.This can be done by stopping by the State Trooper headquarters in Raybrook and obtaining the form or you can print the form on line at For the computer users you can recertify on line at this site.

Biathalon: Are you interested in trying this out? It is an exciting sport that combines cross-country skiing and .22 caliber rifle shooting. Persons of all ages are welcome. Steve Buzzell is the contact if you would like more info. 891-1000.

Camp Colby Summer Camp: This is hard to think about when we are in middle of winter. We will sponsor two 11 – 13 year old children to a week at Camp Colby. The web site says: “Get to know the outdoors by taking part in the optional activities that are offered throughout the week. Try fishing, canoeing or archery.
