2020 - what can we say? What a year!
2020 has seen many events cancelled due to the global pandemic. Covid-19 has taken its toll on everyone this year. Hopefully 2021 will see normal club activities up and running later this year. That being said, 2021 already has its first cancelation of the year; the Colby Classic Ice Fishing Derby has been cancelled this year.
Monday night’s .22 Sporterifle League continues following NYS DOH guidelines on social distancing. The Club’s team is currently in 5th place in the TenX League, and 22nd overall in NY State (total of 43 teams). For more information visit https://www.sporterifle.org/
Archery shooting on Thursdays is still up and running and following all DOH guidelines. Charlie Marshall teaches archers the basics of archery shooting. This is a fun way to learn a new sport for ages 12 and up.
Be sure to check out DEC press release page for up-to-date hunting and fishing news:
Now that Deer Season is over, it's time to dust off the 20 ga. (.410 for you purests) and hit the woods for some grouse. Never hunted for grouse or haven’t since you slogged through the woods at 12 years old? Here's a guide to extending your hunting season this winter: https://www.fieldandstream.com/story/hunting/how-to-hunt-ruffed-grouse/
