POT LUCK CAME BACK TO THE CLUB:Hello all: Well, the pot luck supper is over! It was a good night, lots of good food and with a total of 37 people in attendance, it was an enjoyable evening. Mike Tanchin made last minute surprise entree, a grouse-curry dish in the club kitchen that was wonderful. Thank you Mike for that treat.

Thanks to Dan and Pam Simmons, Allan Swentusky, Lisa Storey, and Peg Hartmann for helping set up the room, organize the attendees pot luck offerings, and also for setting up the plates, utensils and generally get the club ready for the attendees.

Cecilia opened up the evening with a few words and while everyone was eating desert, finished evening with general information about the club and what is going on in the near future. Thank you Ceci.

Also the clean up went extremely well, with many hands taking care of business. Theresa Trudell, Jim Jones, Mike Kellam, Mike Tanchin, Allan Swentusky, Lisa Storey, Dan and Pam Simmons and Peg Hartmann helping out to put the club back to the way it was before we started the pot luck.

My apology if I missed anyone. The clean up went so fast that I could have missed someone. I did fail to take pictures. Someone even reminded me (T)....but I still forgot! Next I will appoint an official photographer. LOL

Our next pot-luck will be on December 2nd @ 7 PM, with socializing starting at 6 PM. Stay tuned for upcoming information.

Individuals have been observed shooting from the hip at the club. This is not a safe practice. Shooting from the hip is not allowed.

Archery: We have set up a regular archery for each Thursday. They will begin at 5PM. If you would like more information, please contact Ken Casler at casler493@gmail.com.

Trudeau Big Buck Contest: Claude volunteered to be chair for this year. Those who wish to enter need to register prior to the season opening. Don’t forget the lucky buck – we put all entrants into a “hat” and pull a name. This is the lucky buck winner. So you can still be a winner, even if you don’t get a buck.

Tee Shirts: For those who ordered them these need to be paid for up front. Contact CeCe at 518-201-4009.

Survey: These are coming in slowly. We will need your survey returned by October 31, results will be in November Newsletter.

Elections: Three board members and all officers are voted in each year at the regular meeting in December. If you are interested in any of these positions, please contact Dick Mose at 891-3987.

Sporterifle: Monday nights 4:00 till all have shot. This is an offhand .22 rifle, 50 foot shooting event. Costs $3.00 per person, we supply the targets. All levels of shooters are welcome; you do not have to be part of the official “team”. Non members are welcome. This is a great way to hone your shooting skills. Season runs from early September to early March so stop by anytime, it is not mandatory to come each week. For more information contact Charlie Marshall at loonsongpsalteries@gmail.com.
