Federation Annual meeting elections had no change in officers. The Nellie Staves arwd was present to Dan Decost from Chateaugay. Sheriff Kevin Mulverhill spoke to the group. He outlined the changes he has made at the County Jail. He briefed us on the ongoing projects as well. News from the Annual NYCC reports Chronic Wasting disease has not been reported in NYS. Please refer to NYSDEC website for full information if you want to bring out of state deer back into NY. The two resolutions presented were voted down. One was mandatory orange. The other was training of coon hounds two months prior to season. The political atmosphere is not right at this time to present a change in age for big game licenses from 14 to 12. A report was given on the actions taken by our representative concerning the Fish Hatchery disaster. They have been assured all facilities will have on property managers and alarm systems are being analyzed as backup.
Elections – These will be held in December. If you would like to run for an office or the Board, please contact Dustin.
Pie Sale – This is approaching quickly. Bob Brown counts on volunteers to keep this successful. Come to December 6 meeting, take home part of our membership list to make calls asking for HOMEMADE pies. Bake on Friday and bring your pie Saturday at Coakley Hardware. Bring one home for your Christmas Dinner. Help make this event successful.
I have been asking for someone to step up to handle the club's rentals. Here's the situation. I work 12 hours per day, Monday – Friday. I cannot guarantee I can have our facilities clean and ready for rentals. I spent two hours cleaning in the kitchen/bathroom areas for a day rental on Saturday morning. Two other members spent over four hours cleaning on Friday. We have not had a rental since mid-September, so things are let go. Someone else will "clean it up". I cannot commit my "weekends" to keeping up the Fish & Game club facilities for rental use. I won't – I have a life just like everyone else. Here's my bottom line – either members step up and volunteer their time, or I will stop accepting rentals. Rentals means income, less income, more dues. Thoughts, comments – come to a meeting. Theresa
