Franklin County Federation of Fish & Game Clubs held their annual meeting. The Nellie Staves Conservation Award was given to Theresa Trudell. Unfortunately new officers were not elected. This will take place on December 19th.
NYSCC meeting was held with Bob Brown in attendance. The resolution for mandatory orange was “shot down”. NYSCC still supports hunters wearing orange for safety on their own. Resolution to ban use of doe urine (real and synthetic) was brought up on the floor by DEC. The ban reasoning is possibility of spreading chronic wasting disease. NYSCC agreed to support DEC. Expect to hear about the new regulation next year's season.
The Board and Officers would like to wish everyone success in their fall hunting. Be safe out there.
Look for changes in your dues. Due to lack of response (this means support of our programs) the $5.00 incentive will not be continued in 2018. As a matter of fact, because we do not have volunteers for our events, we will be donating funds to other organizations for their people to help us. Thus, we are considering increasing your dues for 2018 to cover those donations. Come to Thursday, November 2nd meeting or contact a board member/officer prior to the meeting to give us your thoughts.

Your entire current group of leaders agree new blood, especially younger people, is needed to revitalize this club. Come out to vote, exercise your rights as a member and show you care.
