Elections: Hi folks!! The SLF&GC is preparing to hold the annual elections coming up on 12.7.17. These elections are a vital part to our club’s operation. Members in good standing and have a genuine interest in our operations are welcome to run for office. There are several positions opening up and we are looking for interested members. The following positions are: Club President, Vice-President, Membership Secretary, Secretary, Treasurer and three board member seats. Please consider running for one of these offices if you are interested in "OUR" club’s future. Our club’s future depends on your input. Should you decide to toss your hat in the ring please notify Dick Mose or myself Ken Casler at 518-891-1078 at your earliest opportunity. Thank-you!!

In regards to our current board, Leon is unable to participate for a few months due to medical issues. If you would like to fill in during this period, please contact a board member or officer.

Important Dues Notice: Due to lack of participation in our club events membership fees are restructured. If you do not participate in an event during 2018, effective January 2019 your dues will be raised by $25.00. The current rate schedule of $40.00 member only and $50.00 family will continue into the 2018 year.

Annual Pie Sale: It’s getting close to that exciting time again. Bob Brown is asking for people to make calls to members asking for pie donations. If you would like to do this, please come to the December 7th meeting. Bob will pass out lists and is looking for four people to make the calls. Guidelines for what to say will be provided. Don’t forget to stop by Ace Hardware Saturday the 23rd to buy your holiday pie.

Most of you missed a great dinner and presentation on Moose Studies in the Adirondack Park. There were venison dishes, casseroles and well as an apple pie in a skillet. YUMMY! The presentation was very informative. Even though we think there are lots of Moose in our area, the population for the state is estimated at 900. Our neighbor states to the East have 2000 and up.

DEC Summer Camperships will be given again in 2018. The club will provide two scholarships. Look for further information in the Adirondack Daily Enterprise and our facebook page. Applications will be accepted until January 15th.

Franklin County Federation of Fish & Game Clubs - New officers will be elected at their next meeting December 19th at the Alexander McDonald Club in St. Regis Falls. All members are welcome.

Adirondack Conservation Council is hosting a dinner at the Schroon Lake Fish & Game Club on December 2 which features DEC speakers from the central office. Contact Bob Brown for further info.
